Yakima Neighborhood Health Services Job Title: Network Manager

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree OR three years experience in computer network management. Experience with pc and unix based systems required.

 

Supervised by: Primary Care Administrator

 

Position(s) supervises: None.

 

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Requires sitting for long periods of time, working at a computer terminal. Some bending and stretching required. Ability to lift papers or boxes up to 30 pounds occasionally. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required for use of calculators, phones, computer keyboards and other equipment. Requires ability to sustain concentration in a noisy and fast-paced environment.

 

Examples of Duties (this list may not all include all the duties assigned):

  • Oversee and maintain computer access and security levels for all staff. Maintain passwords and system for regular changing of passwords for all staff with network access.
  • Add, remove, and edit system access for new and terminated employees.
  • Provide computer training of network services to staff as requested.
  • Assist in retrieval of electronic information by developing systems to extract data for reporting and analysis.
  • Make recommendations to administrative staff regarding hardware and software needs of the organization.
  • Monitor technological advances and make recommendations to administrative staff regarding use of technology to increase efficiencies at YNHS.
  • Monitor staff business processes and make recommendations regarding use of technology to improve business and clinic flow.
  • Trouble-shoot individual computer problems and system problems.
  • Serve as primary contact for software and hardware vendors to update and monitor clinic systems.
  • Assist in maintenance and trouble-shooting of YNHS equipment such as telephones, cash registers, fax machines, etc.
  • Represent YNHS in local meetings as requested.
  • Maintain organized, clean, efficient and confidential work area.
  • Perform related work as requested.

 

Working Relationships:

All YNHS employees are expected to develop and maintain professional and courteous working relationships with all other YNHS employees, patients, visitors, health profession students, vendors, and volunteers of the organization. In addition, YNHS employees are expected to provide courteous and efficient service to health and social service agencies working with YNHS patients.
