Yakima Neighborhood Health Services Job Title: Outreach Coordinator

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in behavioral or health sciences or related field and two years experience working with disadvantaged populations; or five years experience in health or social services. Customer service skills and ability to work with individuals of varying backgrounds and lifestyles. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Convenient if bilingual in English/Laotian, English / Cambodian, English/Vietnamese, English/Russian, and/or ability to sign.

 

Supervised by: Primary Care Administrator

 

Position(s) supervises: Outreach Workers, Access (Eligibility) Specialists

Typical Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Requires prolonged walking and standing, frequent bending, stooping or stretching. Involves both indoor and outdoor activity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Required to work under stressful conditions and with patients who are often in discomfort and/or pain. May be exposed to inclement weather, communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Requires ability to sustain concentration in a noisy and fast-paced environment.

 

Working Relationships:

All YNHS employees are expected to develop and maintain professional and courteous working relationships with all other YNHS employees, patients, visitors, health profession students, vendors, and volunteers of the organization. In addition, YNHS employees are expected to provide courteous and efficient service to health and social service agencies working with YNHS patients.
